Farming & Animal Husbandry
We have animals on our property so that those registered in our program can come and learn more about how to properly care for the animals in their care. The better they are able to care for the animals the more likely that animal is to be a financial benefit to themselves and their families.
In order to maintain our herd numbers and remain self-sustaining each animal recipient agrees to care for the animal given to them and returns to Destiny the first offspring. With this model in mind we are able to increase our effectiveness in many villages and communities.
Goats, chickens and pigs are a sustainable income source. They can sell the meat, sell the offspring, or eggs from the chickens.
As the Destiny herd numbers grow we are able to give to those who are best suited to care for them a goat, chicken or pig.
